A new trailer for the second season of the "Halo" TV series has been released

Next month we will be presented with the first two episodes of the second season of "Halo", but in the meantime we have a chance to take a look at the fresh trailer.

Here's What We Know

Season 2 will tell the story of the Fall of Reach, known in the game franchise as one of the biggest and bloodiest battles in the war between humans and the Covenant.

The showrunner for this season, Steven Kane, has been replaced as showrunner by David Wiener, known for Brave New World.

Series Overview

According to the official synopsis, the second season of "Halo" will show how Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as Covenant. Following a shocking event on a secluded planet, John can't shake the feeling that his war is about to change. He risks everything to prove what no one else will believe - that the Covenant is preparing to attack humanity's most powerful stronghold. On the edge of the galaxy, John embarks on a journey to find the key to saving humanity or exterminating it: Halo.

Newcomers to the cast include: Joseph Morgan, Cristina Rodlo and Christina Bennington.

When We Can Expect It

The first two episodes of the second season of Halo will appear on Paramount Plus on 8 February, with the rest of the series to be released weekly.
