Fresh footage from the set of "Mortal Kombat 2" hints at two new characters from the video game
Mortal Kombat 2 filming continues and two new images have been shared with us that foreshadow the appearance of two important characters from the video game.
Here's What We Know
The images were posted by the project's producer Todd Garner on his social media accounts, revealing the first glimpse of the recognisable weapons wielded by Shao Kahn and his adopted daughter Kitana.
Certainly, the hint of two of the most important characters in Mortal Kombat history should maximise fan interest in the sequel.

This image shows us Kitana's bladed steel fans, which will no doubt be used to inflict various fatalities.

Here, we see the Hammer of Wrath, Shao Kahn's signature weapon.
"Riverdale" star Adeline Rudolph will reportedly play Kitana, while "F9" actor Martyn Ford will play the role of Shao Kahn in the Mortal Kombat sequel.
By the way, Garner is apparently the king of intrigue. Just the other day, he was publishing a post that clearly hinted at a rematch between Scorpion and Sab-Ziro in the upcoming sequel:

At the conclusion of the first video game adaptation, which was released in 2021, the feud between Scorpion and Sab-Ziro was over, and Scorpion's soul found peace after Sab-Ziro's revenge with the help of descendant and protagonist Cole Young. Now it seems that there is more to come on this topic in the next chapter of the franchise.
