The trailer for the new Netflix film "Spaceman" starring Adam Sandler has been released

Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for 'Spaceman' starring Adam Sandler.

Sandler is known for comedic roles, but in his new project he will play an astronaut fighting for survival.

"I really wanted to have a performance from him that had nothing to do with the Adam Sandler we all know" - Johan Renck, the film's director, said. "I don't think people realise how much, even though he may seem funny and cute, he's very smart, really smart, deep."

Yes, Sandler's character, Jakub, doesn't save Earth from an asteroid or fight aliens, but still, if he can't get back to his home planet, there might not be anything left to salvage from his familiar life anymore.

Here's What The Movie Is About

Netflix has provided an interesting synopsis for the sci-fi film : "Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. Hanuš (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late".

In addition to Sandler, the film stars Carey Mulligan, Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin and Isabella Rossellini.

"Spaceman" will be released on March 1, 2024 on Netflix.
