The upcoming thriller 'The Watchers', which will be the directorial debut of Ishana Night Shyamalan, daughter of director M. Night Shyamalan, has reportedly got a new release date.

Here's What We Know

Two days ago, a new trailer for The Watchers starring Dakota Fanning was unveiled, and today it was reported that the film's premiere has been delayed by a week.

Originally, the release was scheduled for June 7, but now, the film will be released on June 14. This may be due to the fact that Lionsgate's The Crow was recently pushed back to June 7, and New Line Cinema probably doesn't want to compete with the horror remake.

Such a move is justified, especially considering how much talk there has been surrounding "The Crow." The producer of the reboot, Sam Pressman, has said that the film could be the beginning of an expanded universe and hinted that it will "wow people."

Here's What The Movie Is About

The Watchers is a thriller based on the novel by A.M. Shine and tells the story of an artist named Mina "who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland". Mina eventually finds refuge, but "unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night."

In addition to Dakota Fanning, the film stars Georgina Campbell, Oliver Finnegan and Olwen Fouere.
