James Gunn shares an update on the development of Creature Commandos within the DCU: the project has "definitely not been forgotten"
DC Studios co-founder James Gunn has finally broken the silence on the upcoming Creature Commandos project. According to the director, the animated series is still in development.
Here's What We Know
Although the first feature film in the revamped DC universe will be "Superman," the new DCU "Chapter One: Gods and Monsters" will kick off with an animated show on Max called "Creature Commandos", about which there has been no update in a while.
"Fans were worried about the fate of 'Creature Commandos' and began flooding Gunn with questions on social media about how things were going and whether DC had forgotten about the project".
"Definitely not forgetting – all the animatics are cut and finalized and now we're working on the actual animation and finishes, which is time consuming" the director responded in a comment on Threads
Series Overview
The series is set to tell the story of a secret team made up of a motley crew of inmates, including a gorgon, a werewolf and a vampire, assembled by Amanda Waller.
Viola Davis will return to voice Waller, while Frank Grillo will play Rick Flag Senior, the leader of the group. The rest of the cast includes Alan Tudyk, David Harbour, Sean Gunn, Steve Agee, Maria Bakalova and Zoe Chao.
When We Can Expect It
