On March 27, the short film The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story, which will tell about the importance of mental health on the example of Miles Morales
Most of us were excited about the summer 2023 release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, but we will probably have to wait until 2025 for the sequel. However, Sony will soon make a small and important gift for all of us.
Here's What We Know
Sony will release the animated short film The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story on YouTube on March 27.
The film will tell the story of Miles Morales from Across the Universe, who is trying to balance his responsibilities as a teenager, friend, student and Spider-Man. As a result, Miles experiences panic attacks that make him realise that asking for help can be as brave an act as saving New York City and the world.
The film was created in partnership with the Kevin Love Foundation, the NBA champion. Kevin hopes that this short film will help everyone, especially young people, to understand that our feelings are important. The short film will be included as part of the new mental health lesson plan "The Hero Within" developed by the Foundation.
Kevin also told us that in the film, Miles has a confidant whom he can trust. He can go for a walk with his father and talk about what he is going through. We can all learn from this - the importance of reaching out to someone, expressing our true emotions, telling the truth and not keeping everything inside.
