One of LG's latest big updates: Early next year, the LG Velvet will get Android 13
Despite the fact that LG closed its mobile division in 2021, the company has pledged to continue supporting its existing smartphones. Therefore, in early 2023, some models will receive fresh updates.
Here's What We Know
In particular, the LG Velvet, introduced in mid-2020, will be updated to Android 13, according to a roadmap published on the manufacturer's official website.
This appears to be one of LG's last major updates, as the LG Velvet was the company's last flagship before it closed its mobile division. The only other device that could still get an Android 13 update would be the LG Wing, released a few months later. But if that update does show up, it won't be in the first quarter.
In addition to the LG Velvet, the LG Wing, LG Q61, LG Q92 5G and LG Q52 5G will also be updated, but there are only security patches for them.
