Gaming media got acquainted with the Gothic Remake demo and shared their impressions.
Here's What We Know
Authors of a number of publications have published clips that allow you to assess the general technical state, atmosphere and style of the updated version of the cult role-playing game (2001).
Obviously, graphics and detailing have reached a qualitatively different level and do not go in any comparison with the original, and game mechanics have been enriched with new features.
It is noticeable that in the technological sense Gothic Remake is similar to Elex 2 - the last game of the now closed studio Piranha Bytes, which created the Gothic franchise. Apparently, the remake developers from Alkimia Interactive took the engine of their colleagues as a basis, but we must admit that animations and graphics look a bit better than they were in Elex.
Everyone will be able to try out Gothic Remake demo in person at Steam Next Fest, which will be held from 24th of February to 3rd of March, but in the meantime we offer you to get acquainted with video materials from the media.
When We Can Expect It
It's still unknown when Gothic Remake will be released. It is expected to be in 2025.
The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
