HoloLens 2 has full integration with Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams has long supported video calling on HoloLens 2, but now the company will bring full integration of the platform into its mixed reality headset. HoloLens 2 users will now be able to call people directly from the headset, view and add Teams contacts to calls, as well as view calendars and join group meetings.
The headset also offers the ability to use text chat during calls and access images or PDF files shared by users during a meeting. All files or images can be saved in OneDrive storage for further work with them.
Typically, Microsoft Teams was used in HoloLens 2 for remote assistance when an engineer or someone from the support team called for a meeting or to solve a specific problem. In this scenario, users of the PC version of Teams will see the video feed from Hololens 2 from the perspective of the person wearing the headset. Therefore, such improvements can clearly benefit workers with such devices.
