Word finally has a keyboard shortcut to paste text without formatting
Finally! Microsoft has finally added a special shortcut to Word to paste text without any formatting. It uses the same keyboard shortcut that already exists in many other applications - Ctrl + Shift + V. According to Microsoft's Jennifer Gentleman, the feature is now available in the beta version of the app for both Windows and Mac.

With the new Paste Text Only shortcut available in Word for Windows and Word for Mac, you can save time and effort by no longer having to remove source formatting manually. It's out now: https://t.co/PhgzXeEAxC #MicrosoftWord
Word has long allowed you to remove formatting from anything you paste after the fact via a little ribbon that appears, and gives you the option to keep the original formatting, match the formatting of your document, or just use plain text.
In addition to Word, Microsoft wants to make the feature available across the board through the Power Toys app, which adds a lot of great features to Windows. If you're a Mac user, an app like Pure Paste can also replicate this feature, although it notably makes the standard Command + V shortcut paste plain text, so an extra step is required to paste with formatting.
