Microsoft releases updated, rewritten Teams client from the ground up

Microsoft is releasing a new version of Teams that has been rewritten from the ground up to make it faster and easier to use. It's now available for entrepreneurs to try out the changes the company has been working on for several years.

"The new Teams is faster, simpler, and more flexible than ever before,- says Sumi Singh, CVP of engineering for Microsoft Teams, in an interview with The Verge ."

The new Microsoft Teams app should be three times faster to install and two times faster to start or join meetings. Microsoft says that the new Microsoft Teams should also consume 50 per cent less memory and 70 per cent less disk space, which does look like a significant improvement.
