Google is integrating AI into its services: New features for Google Messages, Android Auto, and Wear OS
At Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Google announced new AI features in its apps.
Here's What We Expect
The new feature, which is currently in beta, will allow Google Messages users to access Gemini right in the app. In addition, Google is expanding the functionality for Android Auto by adding the ability to contextualise group chats and read summaries of long text messages.
In addition, Google is updating its Lookout app, which helps the visually impaired, with more AI-generated features for images without captions or with inaccurate descriptions.
Additional updates include improved screen reader support for Lens in Maps, expanded support for handwritten notes on Android devices, Spotify support via the output switcher on the Android home screen, and updates to the Fitbit app with new integration capabilities with various data sources.
The announcement also includes updates to Wear OS that allow you to access Google Wallet directly from your watch, get public transport routes using voice commands, and use a compass for navigation.
