Microsoft releases new Azure Operator Call Protection service to protect against fraudulent calls

Microsoft has created a new service to protect people from fraudulent calls. This service is called Azure Operator Call Protection. It uses artificial intelligence to detect suspicious activity and warn users of possible danger.

Here's What We Know

Fraudulent calls remain a serious problem for many mobile phone users, and Microsoft is responding by providing solutions based on its technology. Together with BT Group, Microsoft is putting this new tool to the test by demonstrating it at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Azure Operator Call Protection works in real time, analysing communications during a call and identifying suspicious signs. This can include language that encourages the user to provide sensitive information and other warnings. The current version of the service gives users the option to terminate a call if they consider it questionable and receive additional information about the reasons why it was labelled as fraudulent.

Although this service is currently being tested only with partners, it can be implemented by mobile operators for their subscribers as an additional option. Call information is not stored or used to train Microsoft's artificial intelligence models, which guarantees the confidentiality of user data.
