Next-gen broke everything: ambitious Fallout mod: London mod postponed due to Fallout 4 update
Fallout 4 fans have been eagerly awaiting a large-scale fan modification of Fallout: London. It was supposed to be released on 23 April, but now it has been postponed to an unknown date.
Here's What We Know
On 25 April, Fallout 4 will receive a major update that will add native versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, as well as various changes on PC to make the game better. And as we already know, such updates often break mods in Bethesda games (hello, Skyrim).
It is likely that the problem will arise with the Fallout 4 script extender, which many mod authors rely on. So now the developers of Fallout: London developers will wait for the update to be released and will start setting up their mod again.
Another problem with Fallout: London is its size. Currently, the mod weighs 30-40 GB. Because of this, the authors cannot release it on Nexus Mods, the most popular modding platform. Fortunately, the authors managed to involve the GOG team in the project, which will help solve this issue and make it much easier to distribute the mod.
