OnePlus has unveiled a touchscreen for smartphones that can work even in a rainstorm
Modern smartphones, even expensive flagships of Apple and Samsung, although they have water protection, but they can not fully work with a wet screen. If you simply press the display with a wet finger or try to use the gadget in the rain, it often works incorrectly, does not respond to swipes or "sins" accidental presses. But OnePlus seems to have found a solution to this problem.
Details
OnePlus has introduced Rain Water Touch technology, which uses a special chip and algorithm to detect the position of your fingers to ensure that the touchscreen works properly when interacting with moisture.
As proof, the company conducted an experiment comparing its smartphone and Apple iPhone 14 Pro. The latter reacts poorly to gestures under water jets, but OnePlus gadget accurately executes commands in the same conditions.
Rain Water Touch technology made its debut in OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. Most likely, future novelties of the Chinese manufacturer will also get it.
