A Ukrainian drone with a single M67 grenade destroyed a Russian modernised 2016 model T-72B3 tank worth more than $1 million
A Ukrainian drone has destroyed a Russian T-72B3 tank of the 2016 model. The combat vehicle was abandoned in the Luhansk region.
Here's What We Know
The tank was destroyed by an M67 grenade dropped from the drone exactly in the open hatch. This was done by soldiers of the 25th separate airborne brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The T-72B3 of the 2016 model received Sosna-U and 1A40-4 sights, R-168-25U-2 radio station, 2A46M-5-01 cannon, Kord anti-aircraft machine gun and B-92C2F powerplant. The engine has a power output of 1,130 horsepower.
The modernisation brought additional dynamic protection modules to increase the resistance of the combat vehicle's side projection to anti-tank projectiles. The dynamic defence modules along with grilles are also installed on the turret.
The cost of modernisation of the 2016 model T72-B3 is estimated at $1.2 million. According to Oryx analysts, Russia has lost more than 230 such tanks in a year and a half.
