Ukrainian FPV drones started attacking Russian helicopters right in the air - Ka-52 managed to escape, but this is just the beginning

No one can be surprisedbyavideo showing the destruction of a Russian tank or an anti-aircraft missile system using an FPV drone. But now Ukrainian UAVs are beginning to attack aerial targets.

Here's What We Know

The Birds of Madyara unit has published a short video that shows an FPV drone attempting an aerial attack on a Russian Ka-52 Alligator military helicopter. We haven't seen anything like this before.

It is likely that what was shown on the video was an impromptu rather than a prepared attack. Because of the difference in speed, the Ka-52 Alligator was able to evade the attack without any problems.

Nevertheless, if the Ukrainian Defence Forces pay more attention to such operations, we may soon see FPV drones destroying helicopters. The difference in speed can be tried to compensate for by attacking on a counter course.
