The Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed a Russian army warehouse near Bakhmut in Donetsk Region. The video of the strike was published by the press service of the Special Operations Forces.

Here's What We Know

The warehouse with ammunition and equipment was detected by Special Operations Forces operators during aerial reconnaissance. After that, the US HIMARS missile system struck with a high-precision GMLRS projectile.

According to the Special Operations Forces, the warehouse contained Vikhr anti-tank missiles (AT-16 Scallion according to NATO classification). The Russians use them from Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters. The missile system, in addition to the Ka-52, was developed to arm Ka-50 helicopters, patrol ships, as well as Su-25E and Su-39 aircraft.

The anti-tank missile has a maximum launch range of 10 kilometres by day and 5 kilometres at night. It can be launched from an altitude of up to 4,000 metres. In addition, the missile can be used to engage air targets that are travelling at low speeds.
