Defence forces destroyed an upgraded Russian 2S19M2 Msta-SM2 self-propelled howitzer
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have managed to destroy a relatively new Russian howitzer. We are talking about the 2S19M2 Msta-SM2 self-propelled artillery system.
Here's What We Know
The 2S19 is a Soviet howitzer that went into production in 1983, with operation beginning six years later. In 2012, the Russian Federation began serial production of a modernised version, which was designated 2S19M2. In 2013, the Russian army received the first batch of 35 units.

The improved artillery system is equipped with a 152 mm 2A64M2 gun with increased rate of fire and fire efficiency. The modernisation brought an automated fire control system, new navigation and increased the rate of fire to 10 rounds per minute.
To reduce visibility, the self-propelled howitzer received the "Cloak" defence kit. Identical camouflage can be found in the modernised T-90M "Breakthrough" tanks.
