A Ukrainian T-64BV shot at point-blank range a Russian modernised T-72B3 tank worth $3m

Videos of tank battles in Ukraine are not often published. But the day before, a short video clip showing a battle between Ukrainian and Russian tanks appeared.

The video shows how a Ukrainian T-64BV tank shot a Russian modernised T-72B3 fighting vehicle at point-blank range. The video was recorded in the Zaporizhzhya region.

According to Oryx analysts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed several hundred T-72B3s. The cost of one modernised tank is estimated at about $3m.

The T-72B3 is an alternative to the more expensive T-90A tank. Production of combat vehicles began in 2011. Over 1,200 main battle tanks have been produced in 12 years.
