A German Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzer destroyed a Russian 2A36 Hyacinth-B gun
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to use German Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers. Recently, videos of them have not appeared as often as they did a year earlier.
Here's What We Know
A Ukrainian journalist published a video of the combat operation of the German artillery installation. The video shows how Panzerhaubitze 2000 destroyed a Russian 2A36 Hyacinth-B cannon in the Zaporizhzhya region.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces received approximately 30 German self-propelled howitzers. The donors were Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. Together with the Panzerhaubitze 2000, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received SMArt 155 precision munitions.
Ukrainian artillerymen noted the high quality of the German weapons. Even so, the PzH 2000s did not always withstand the intensity of the fighting. For example, one howitzer fired 20,000 rounds with a service life of 4,500 rounds. The PzH 2000 was repaired by Lithuanian specialists.
