Developers from Larian Studios have published some interesting statistics about how players spent the first weekend after the release of Baldur's Gate III.

The statistics covers the period from 3rd to 6th of August and shows a lot of interesting facts.

Gamers welcomed Baldur's Gate III extremely warmly and enjoyed immersing themselves in the game's fantasy world.

  • Gamers spent 1,225 years playing the game in three days - almost as long as it took to develop it;
  • 368 people completed the game in three days;
  • 6 August 28% of all playtime on Steam was spent on Baldur's Gate III;
  • 93% of players created their own character for their first playthrough;
  • 88% of gamers spent 88 years on character creation;
  • 10% of users spent more than an hour in the character editor;
  • the most popular ready-made character was Gale. Karlach and Astarion were right behind him;
  • most gamers played as half-elves;
  • githyanki were the least popular;
  • the most popular class in RPGs is the paladin. The most unpopular is the priest;
