In October, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will have new skill trees for all four classes

Fans of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide can get ready for significant changes to the game's skill system and progression, as according to recent reports Fatshark has taken on a "major overhaul" of these aspects of the gameplay and players will be able to see the first changes with their own eyes in October.

Here's What We Know

Currently, players receive new perks every five levels until they reach the maximum level thirtieth, but in the new system, they will receive one point per level. The points can be spent on upgrading the skill tree, where passive and active abilities can be improved. This approach should open up almost unlimited possibilities for customising the hero to suit your own playstyle.

According to Fatshark, each of the four playable classes will have three separate skill branches. One branch will reflect the current playstyle, while the other two will make changes that allow players to use the class in new, unique ways. This should increase the variety of strategies and tactics in the game.

When We Can Expect It

We don't currently have a release date for the update, but we'd guess that it's due out in October this year.
