In order to debunk the suspicions of regulators in the potential monopolisation of Activision Blizzard games and, first of all, Call of Duty, the American developers made an unpredictable move.
Previously, analysts speculated that the companies might give the rights to add their games to cloud services to some third-party company. And today Microsoft president Brad Smith has named a new partner, it was publisher Ubisoft!

The agreement means that once the merger between the two American giants is complete, the French company will be able to add Activision Blizzard games to its own Ubisoft+ service. We are talking about both already released games and those that will be released within fifteen years.
It's certainly a great offer for gamers and Ubisoft, although it's not entirely clear if projects such as World of Warcraft, for example, will appear in the catalogue. But Ubisoft+ users can definitely count on shooters from the Call of Duty series.
In addition, Ubisoft will be able not only to offer gamers Activision Blizzard projects in its service, but also to provide licences for the received games to other companies.
