A new 17-minute video with Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay has been released on IGN's YouTube channel:

Here's What We Know

In the video, we can see the variable oil trader Shang Tsung. After he was caught selling fake remedies, his mentors punished him. However, that very evening, a mysterious visitor informs him that he has a more important destiny, intimidated by those who feared "how great" he might become.

The next scene opens with Raiden and Kung Lao farming in the fields of The New Era before they head to Madame Bo's tea house. However, they are suddenly attacked by Lin Kuei, and the duo are forced to face off against Smoke, Scorpion, and Sun-Zero.

The video also showed us the new Invasion mode, which offers RPG mechanics and a board game-style map.

When We Can Expect It

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on the 19th of September for the Xobx Series, PlayStation 5 Nintendo Switch and PC.
