On the 1st of September, access to the space role-playing game Starfield was granted to buyers of premium editions.

And, as it turned out, despite the high cost, there were a lot of people willing to start the game before the official release date.

Here's What We Know

During the first day after the launch of Starfield in Early Access, the peak online in Steam was 234,502 players! These figures show the interest to the game and indicate that in the first days after the general release of the Bethesda project the number of players may well exceed a million people and surpass the success of Baldur's Gate III.

Interestingly, SteamDB service doesn't usually record game statistics before its official release, but someone "gifted" the SteamDB bot with a premium edition of the game, which is why it started tracking the number of simultaneous players.

I wonder who it could be? Mr Howard, wouldn't you?
