231 pages of broken promises: dataminer found and systematised all the cut content from zombie action game Dying Light 2: Stay Human
During the promotional campaign of zombie action game Dying Light 2: Stay Human, the developers from Techland studio promised a large-scale game with a huge number of features and direct influence of every player's action. But when the game was released, there was nothing like that in it, and the technical side of Dying Light 2 turned out to be less advanced than it was shown in promo materials.
Here's What We Know
A user called Sneed researched the files of the release version of Dying Light 2: Stay Human and created a document in which he collected all the cut content he found mentioned in the game's files. The document consists of 231 pages!
Sneed structured the content he found and divided it into the following categories:
- factions and faction quests;
- prologue and epilogue;
- quests (story and side quests);
- narrators (short dialogues with characters, providing choices);
- cut dialogues;
- locations;
- additional content.
Theoretically, enthusiasts can now restore excised portions of the game.
Zombie action game Dying Light 2 is due out in February 2022 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
