There will be no crossplay feature in Mortal Kombat 1 at release: the developers will add the feature at some later date
NetherRealm studio has announced some unpleasant news for fans of online battles.
Here's What We Know
In Mortal Kombat 1 a crossplay feature will not immediately appear.
Launch is just around the corner and we can't wait for everyone to sink their teeth into #MK1. Regarding Kross-Play, it will not be available at launch, but know we are hard at work at implementing the feature into the game and it will be koming post launch. pic.twitter.com/M8Kvi4QkMe

The developers had planned for this feature to be available to players on release day, but it's taking more time to work on realising it. The game designers do not specify when they will add this option, but they promise to do it as soon as possible.
Crossplay allows players on different platforms to connect to each other and play network matches.
When We Can Expect It
Mortal Kombat 1 will release on September 19 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
