CD Projekt RED will increase macOS version requirements to run The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The developer will introduce support for new technologies
In exactly one month the system requirements of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for Apple Mac will be changed.
Here's What We Know
CD Projekt RED studio informs Apple computer users that from the 16th of November in the "Minimum Requirements" column of The Witcher and The Witcher 2 will be specified macOS 11.0.
This decision is due to the fact that the developer wants to implement in its games support for Apple M1, M2 chips, as well as macOS Ventura, which are available only on devices with an operating system no older than macOS 11.0.

When the changes take effect, users will be able to continue playing on macOS below 11.0 while keeping older versions of games. To do so, automatic updates will need to be disabled.
Only the updated version of The Witcher and The Witcher 2 will be available on Steam, GOG and the AppStore.
