In 2024, publisher Krafton will release Project Black Budget, a shooter set in the PUBG universe. Several other major releases are in the pipeline, including a new instalment of Subnautica
South Korean company Krafton, which owns the rights to PUBG: Battlegrounds, has published a financial report in which it revealed plans for the release of new products.
Here's What We Know
The developers of PUBG Studios are engaged in a project under the working title Project Black Budget. This will be a network shooter, which in concept is similar to the popular in narrow circles game Escape from Tarkov. Players will have to make dangerous forays for supplies and equipment and try to successfully evacuate after completing tasks, and in case of character's death all progress is lost. Projects of this genre are called Extraction Shooter.
Judging by the presented logo, Project Black Budget will be related to PUBG. It is stated that it will be released in the second half of 2024 and will be available on PC and unnamed consoles.
Also, publisher Krafton is preparing a mobile version of Dark and Darker and life simulator Project inZOI for release in 2024.
A new instalment of the popular survival simulator Subnautica and adventure game Project Gold Rush are expected to be released in the first quarter of 2025.
