New Little Nightmares III details revealed: players can expect a great co-operative horror-platformer
The Are you ready to "return to Nowhere"? During Gamescom 2023, ONL Supermassive Games announced Little Nightmares III was a pleasant surprise for the fans of the series.
Gamers are actively interested in details of the new part of the horror-platformer and some questions were answered by Supermassive Games producer Coralie Feniello.
Here's What We Know
The plot of Little Nightmares III is not directly connected to the events of the previous parts, but there are many references and secrets in the game, which players will find parallels with the first and second parts.
The events of Little Nightmares III will unfold in a creepy place called Spiral. The main characters of the game will be Low and Alone, who will have to make a dangerous journey. They both have unique abilities and items, but only by working together can they achieve their goal. In this respect, the game is similar to It Takes Two.
The first location of the game will be the previously shown Necropolis - this place is almost entirely made up of ruins of ancient buildings, which are inhabited by creepy monsters, including Monster Baby - she will be stalking the protagonists.
Since Little Nightmares III is primarily a co-operative game, the developers have made sure that you don't need to buy two copies of the game to play it together. With Friends Pass, users will be able to invite a partner from their friends list, even if they don't have the game.
In single-player mode, the player can at any time call up a second character to solve puzzles and perform joint actions.
Recall, the creators of Little Nightmares franchise from Tarsier Studios stopped cooperation with Bandai Namco, so the development of the third part was transferred to the British studio Supermassive Games - the author of The Dark Pictures Anthology, Until Dawn and The Quarry.
When We Can Expect It
Little Nightmares III is expected to release in 2024 on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
