There will be more Resident Evil remakes - Capcom is interested in releasing updated versions of the iconic horror game
Over the past few years, remakes of three parts of the Resident Evil franchise have been released.
All the updated games are warmly welcomed by the public and bring Capcom huge profits, so there is no doubt that the trend of releasing remakes at the Japanese company will continue. This was confirmed by one of the developers.
Here's What We Know
Game director of Resident Evil 4 remake Yasuhiro Anpo said in an interview with IGN that Capcom will continue to release remakes:
Yes, we've released three remakes so far, and they've all done very well - they help modern audiences get familiar with older games. We want to do more remakes. But which remake will be the next one - we'll tell you in the future.
It is logical to assume that the next game in line for remake is Resident Evil 5, but fans have been dreaming about an updated version of Resident Evil Code: Veronica for a long time. Perhaps Capcom will listen to the wishes of fans.
Recall that Insider: Capcom will not release any new Resident Evil games in 2024. The company's next game could be a sequel to Monster Hunter in 2024, no Resident Evil games will be released.
