Bethesda has released a major update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that is best not installed yet

Unexpectedly, Bethesda has released a major update for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition.

It's available on PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles, but don't rush to install it!

Here's What We Know

The patch introduced a huge number of changes and fixes to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, implemented full support for Steam Deck consoles and ultra-wide monitors, and fixed a number of bugs.

However, gamers were, to put it mildly, not thrilled with the update, as the developers presented Creations - an improved platform for distributing custom modifications. And the problem is that after installing the patch most of the already installed mods stop working, and the new platform is characterised by a complex interface and incorrect operation.

But most of all gamers were outraged by another attempt of Bethesda to make money on fan modifications, many of which are sold in Creations for in-game currency, and it, in turn, is bought for real money.

Bethesda has already said it is working on the mods that don't work and has recommended not installing the update just yet.
