Creative Assembly apologised to gamers and promised to return the Total War franchise to its former glory

The last few months have been difficult for Creative Assembly studio: the British developers have experienced the Sega CEO Sammy Holdings revealed the main reason for the cancellation of Hyenas and revealed that Creative Assembly Studios will return to producing top-notch strategy games, significant job cuts, the unsuccessful release of Shadows of Change add-on for Total War: Warhammer III and, finally, the mixed reaction of the public to the new strategy Total War: Pharaoh.

All this has led to significant reputational losses and Creative Assembly management is making great efforts to correct the situation.

Here's What We Know

The head of the Total War franchise Roger Collum published an appeal to the fans, in which he said what steps the developers will take to reconcile with gamers.

Total War: Pharaoh

  1. The price of Total War: Pharaoh has already been reduced from $60 to $40, those who have already bought the game will get the difference back on Steam.
  2. The expensive Deluxe Edition and Dynasty Edition have been removed from the sale.
  3. The first DLC, which was planned to be paid, will be released in early 2024 as a free update.
  4. A number of major updates with lots of new content will be released soon.

Total War: Warhammer III

  1. There will be a big update for Shadows of Change, it's scheduled for release in February, but that date could change.
  2. To bring the Thrones of Decay expansion to a perfect state, its release has been pushed back to spring 2024. The developers will increase the number of its innovations and changes.

Roger Collum apologised for the mistakes made and promised that Creative Assembly will continue to please fans of their games.
