Capcom raises the price of games to $70. Dragon's Dogma II will be the first project at such a price

Capcom previously announced that RPG Dragon's Dogma II will be their first project to cost $70 at release.

Apparently, this practice will become permanent.

Here's What We Know

Following the release of the quarterly report, Capcom executives held a Q&A session to answer investor questions, one of which was about the company's pricing policy. And the executives confirmed that at least flagship projects will be sold at $70, as this cost is in line with rising production costs.

Dragon's Dogma II, which is scheduled for release this fiscal year, will cost $69.99. Industry-wide development costs are rising, and we see price changes as an option. Ultimately, we intend to take a thoughtful approach to pricing our games while also studying user feedback.

It should be noted that all of the major companies, including Take-Two, Microsoft, Nintendo, Nintendo, Square Enix, Sony, Activision and Ubisoft, are now selling their new titles for $70. Almost all of Capcom's projects over the last few years have received top marks from critics and excellent reviews from gamers, which shows that their price corresponds to the quality, which cannot be said about the projects of some other developers.
