Prison will open later: the developers of Prison Architect 2 have postponed the game's release date
Prison Architect 2, the sequel to the popular prison construction and management simulator, was expected to be released at the end of March. But, as it often happens, the developers needed more time to complete the work.
Here's What We Know
Double Eleven studio and Paradox Interactive publisher reported about the postponement of Prison Architect 2 release date. They explained their decision with the standard reason: the desire to bring every element of the game to the perfect state, which requires additional time.
Despite our confidence in the quality of the game, we want to use the extra time to find bugs and optimise Prison Architect 2 on all platforms. Having carefully considered the possibility of releasing the game within the previously announced timeframe, we have decided to use the extra time to make sure that players get the best possible experience on the day of Prison Architect 2's launch.
After careful consideration, Architects, we have made the decision to delay the release of Prison Architect 2 until 7 May 2024. ????️

While we are already confident in the game, this extra time will enable us to fix more bugs and further optimise the game for all platforms.

The new release date is 7 May 2024. The game will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
As a reminder, players are expected to play the gameplay, familiar from the first part of Prison Architect, but with 3D graphics and increased number of features.
