Battlefield 2042 game director has left Electronic Arts and studio Ridgeline Games
Despite the failed release of Battlefield 2042, the developers have worked hard over the past year to correct the mistakes they made. In 2023, the shooter has gained unprecedented popularity, not least because of Battlefield 2042 game director Marcus Lehto.
Here's What We Know
Marcus Lehto joined Ridgeline Games just over two years ago, at a critical time for the game. With his arrival began active work on improving Battlefield 2042 and revising the whole concept of the franchise development. Thanks to a major update, in October 2023, Battlefield 2042 online record of 107 thousand people was recorded, now the interest in the game has decreased, but with the release of a new update, which is expected in March, players are sure to return to the battles of the not-too-distant future.
Despite the fact that Marcus Leito was doing a great job, for an unnamed reason he left Electronic Arts and the Ridgeline Games studio.
At this point, it's unknown if his departure means the studio will be shut down or if the team will continue to work with a new head.
