Twice as much content: Insomniac Games shows Marvel's Spider-Man 2 gameplay trailer at State of Play stream

During the State of Play presentation, Insomniac Games showed a gameplay trailer of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which demonstrates innovations.

Here's What We Know

First, the game map was shown. Now it is almost twice as big as in the first part. There are two new districts - Queens and Brooklyn. But moving around such a large world can take some time, so the authors gave both spiders "spider wings" that look like wingsuit. If you combine it with a regular web, you will quickly fly even to the other end of the map.

The peculiarity of the game is that we have two spiders available at once: Peter Parker and Miles Morales. In the open world, you can switch between them at any time, and it happens almost instantly thanks to the SSD on the PS5.

There will also be many additional activities scattered across the map. Some of them are designed for a specific spider, and some can be completed as anyone.

And of course, the game has more skills, abilities, and gadgets that will help you fight your enemies more effectively. The authors have also prepared 65 costumes for players. Some of the costumes have several colour palettes, allowing players to choose from more than 200 styles for their Spiders. By the way, one of the trailers features the legendary Symbiote costume from the 3rd Spider-Man film by Sam Raimi.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release on October 20 on PlayStation 5.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a 3-person open-world adventure game that is a direct sequel to the two previous Insomniac Games titles: Spider-Man and Spider-Man Miles Morales. The story will tell how Peter Parker and Miles Morales became a full-fledged superhero duo and defend New York together. However, there are only more troubles. Venom and Craven the Hunter, who will appear in a Spidey video game for the first time in many years, are trying to destroy the heroes.
