More than 5 million copies of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 were sold in just 11 days after its release
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was released on 20 October exclusively on PlayStation 5. More than 2.5 million copies were sold in the first 24 hours. This immediately made the Insomniac Games adventure the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game. Now, following the publication of Sony's financial report, new sales data for the game have been revealed.
Here's What We Know
Sony published its financial report for the second quarter ended 30 September 2023. It states that more than 5 million copies of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 were sold within 11 days of its release. Insomniac Games also wrote about this on Twitter and thanked the community for their support.
In October, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 also became the most downloaded game on PlayStation 5 in the US, Canada, and Europe, and the studio recently released the third patch for the game in two weeks, which fixes dozens of bugs.
