On December 12, God of War Ragnarok will receive a free expansion pack that will add a roguelite mode
It has been rumoured for some time that God of War Ragnarok will receive DLC. Players hoped that it would be a full-fledged storyline expansion that would reveal more about the game's history, but we got something else.
Here's What We Know
At The Game Awards 2023, the audience was presented with the Valhalla DLC, which adds a roguelite mode. It was created in honour of the fact that Ragnarok has sold 15 million copies.
Valhalla is an epilogue to the game. According to the developers, it takes Kratos on a deep, personal and reflective journey.
Kratos has seen a path for himself that he never thought possible before. Together with Mimir, he arrives at the shores of Valhalla to overcome the trials within himself and face the echoes of his past.
There are 5 levels of difficulty, various enemies, bosses, arenas, unique situations, and rewards for progressing through the mode.
You can open the passage to Valhalla at any time during the game, but the authors recommend doing it after the end of the story.
Where To Play
The expansion will be available for download on PlayStation 4/5.
