Sony managed to sell 50 million units of PlayStation 5 in 3 years
For the first two years of its existence, the PlayStation 5 was difficult to buy due to shortages. However, now PS5 can be easily found on store shelves, and at the same time, Sony decided to tell us that sales of the console have already reached tens of millions.

On 9 December 2023, 50 million PlayStation 5s were sold, but back in July this year, 40 million were sold.
The highest sales in 2023 were in November. Back then, sales in Europe increased by 376% compared to November 2022. In the US, however, sales fell in the last month of autumn.
Although the PlayStation 5 lags behind the PlayStation 4 in terms of sales, the introduction of the PlayStation 5 Slim, and in the future the PlayStation 5 Pro and the availability of even more interesting exclusives may change the situation.
