Silent Hill 2 Remake producer: work on the updated horror game is almost complete and a release date will be announced soon

Many horror fans were hoping that Sony and Bloober Team would reveal the release date of Silent Hill 2 remake at the State of Play show, which took place on the 31st of January, but unfortunately, the audience was shown only a small gameplay video.

Earlier it was reported that the updated version of the cult game will be released in 2024 and the producer of the project once again confirmed this information.

Here's What We Know

In an interview with the Japanese edition of Famitsu producer Silent Hill 2 Remake Motoi Okamoto said that the game is at the final stage of development. Polish game designers are finishing the last preparations and the final release date of the game will be announced soon.

Recall that the footage shown on State of Play caused mixed reactions from the public, many people thought that the game looks a bit raw and cheap, but Motoi Okamoto is convinced that the remake will be a worthy re-release of the favourite horror game for millions of gamers.

Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released as a PlayStation 5 exclusive, but will eventually be available on PC.
