Looking for the loudest soundbar for tv - need to feel the bass!

Hey audio heads! I just moved into a new loft apartment with high ceilings and I'm looking to upgrade my home theater experience. I'm on the hunt for the loudest soundbar I can find for my 65" TV.

I've been browsing Amazon and narrowed it down to the Samsung HW-Q800C. It looks promising, but I'm worried it might not have enough power for my space. I want something that'll make me feel like I'm in a real cinema, with deep, rumbling bass and crystal-clear dialogue.

Any suggestions for soundbars that can fill a large space with immersive sound? Bonus points if it has good bass without a separate sub (trying to keep a clean look). Am I on the right track with my pick, or are there better options out there for a cinema-like experience at home?

Let me know your top picks for turning my loft into a personal IMAX!

Yo, congrats on the new place! I've got a similar setup and went with the Bose Smart Soundbar 900. It's about the same price as the Q800C you're looking at, but I think it handles larger spaces better. The Dolby Atmos support is killer for movies.

I don't want to be that guy, but have you considered your neighbors? I used to have a soundbar in my old loft and kept getting noise complaints. Maybe think about getting some sound treatment too? Just my 2 cents.

Am I the only one who thinks soundbars are a waste of money? For that budget, you could get a decent AVR and some bookshelf speakers. Way better sound quality and more upgrade options down the line.

If you can stretch to the top of your budget, the samsung hw-q990b is what you want. It's like having a whole damn movie theater in your living room.

Not everyone wants to deal with all those wires and setup, man. I've had the Q800C for about 6 months now. It's good, but if you've got high ceilings, you might want to consider stepping up to the Q990B. It's pricier but still within your budget and the difference is noticeable.

Hey, before you make a decision, check out the soundbar guide on rtings.com. They do in-depth testing and have some solid recommendations for different room sizes and budgets. According to their tests, both the Q990B and Bose perform great in larger spaces

Haha, I can't help but laugh at everyone suggesting those pricey soundbars. Honestly, just grab a solid pair of headphones. Your wallet (and your neighbors) will totally appreciate it!

measure your room's standing waves before dropping a bag on any soundbar. physics > marketing specs no cap

Audiologist told me my hearing damage is irreversible from years of "needing maximum volume" for movies. I'm 34. Not trying to preach but maybe reconsider what "feeling the bass" is worth long-term. Wish someone had told me this at 25. Now I watch everything with subtitles anyway ironically

Design perspective - those massive soundbars everyone recommends completely ruin the aesthetic flow of modern entertainment centers. I get sound quality matters but at what cost to visual design? Sometimes smaller, better-integrated solutions make more sense than audio-first approach. Form and function should coexist
