What's the best external SSD for video editing? Noob editor here!

Just enrolled in cinematography courses and my laptop's already giving up. Been shooting on my a6400 in 4k and the internal drive ain't it 😅

Started a YouTube channel too but these render times got me sleeping at my desk. Need something that can handle the workload. Budget around $200-250.

Using Premiere now but thinking about switching to Final Cut since everyone's hyping it up. Help ya boy out! 🎬

those "4k optimized" drives are just marketing. sequential read/write speeds are what you want
