Is anyone else sick of EVERY photo being filtered beyond recognition?

Opened insta this morning and literally couldn't tell who I was looking at anymore. Friend posted a selfie with skin so smooth it looked like plastic and eyes 2x their actual size. We hung out YESTERDAY and she looked nothing like that pic.

Getting to the point where I don't even know what people actually look like anymore. Dating apps are the absolute worst for this - showing up and meeting someone who looks like a different human being.

Anyone else frustrated that "normal" photos don't exist anymore? When did we collectively decide that looking human was a bad thing?

Filters killed street photography. Used to document actual moments, now everyone stopping mid-walk to pose then filter the soul out of the image

Weirdest thing is the body dysmorphia it creates. Got teenage cousins who panic if tagged in unfiltered pics because they "look wrong"

Keep seeing influencers say "no filter!" when they clearly used subtle ones or just edited later in another app. Gaslighting your followers lmao

The wildest evolution is how totally normal having animal ears and noses on adults has become. We just collectively accepted that?

Filters ruined my friend's wedding. Photographer took gorgeous professional shots but bride only posted filtered selfies that look nothing like her

Can we talk about guys using subtle filters but pretending they don't? At least women usually admit to it

world is depressing enough, let people have their sparkly filtered fun if it makes them happy

Same in Thailand! tour guide literally complimented me for having visible pores. Apparently that's exotic now

prediction: in 10 years we'll have a massive retro movement where people deliberately post unfiltered just to seem authentic and different
