PSN/Xbox account hacks surging - thousands losing entire digital libraries with zero customer service

Just lost 9 YEARS of my gaming life last night. All my COD skins, limited edition DLCs, even my day-one Destiny character... gone. Was playing Helldivers 2 with friends, got kicked mid-mission, then couldn't log back in.

Email showed like 5 logins from Brazil (I'm in Michigan???) then password changes, email changes, the works. Someone dropped $220 on FIFA packs before Sony finally locked the account when my credit card flagged it.

Called support this morning and the rep basically accused ME of selling my account on G2A. Kept saying "our logs show regular logins from multiple locations" - yeah NO SHIT, I'M BEING HACKED.

Now I'm stuck in "security verification" hell with no timeline for resolution. They want purchase receipts from 2015?! Who has those? Meanwhile can't play ANYTHING I've spent thousands on since PS4 launch.

When did this become so common? My buddy just got his Xbox account jacked last month too. Gaming news isn't covering this AT ALL. Anyone actually get their account back or should I just accept everything's gone forever?

sony banned my acct last yr after I reported fraud. reason? "suspicious purchase history" aka THE HACKER'S PURCHASES. took 47 calls, BBB complaint + tweeting CEO to finally fix. they hope u give up n rebuy games. zero accident, all profit motive

Keep asking for supervisor till you reach Tier 3 support. Ask specifically for the "account specialist team" - lower reps don't even know this exists. Took 3 weeks but got mine back after someone stole my PSN with 340+ games. Regular support drones follow useless script

my kids cryin cuz cant access roblox account with 4yrs allowance money spent. microsoft basically said "shoulda used better password lol". 2FA was ON. they wont admit 2FA bypass happening through support social engineering. class action when?????

Its the SAUDI ARAMCO hack from january - gaming press quiet cuz sony/ms paying them off. Internal database leaked over million account credentials. Friend works security at xbox says they tracking 290k compromised accounts but PR dept blocking public disclosure

Guys STOP storing payment info on consoles! Basic security 101! Delete cards after every purchase. Yes its annoying but better than identity theft. Also CHECK YOUR EMAILS - they sending password reset warnings weeks before they hack

Ex xbx support agent: MAKE PHYSICAL POLICE REPORT! Include value of digital goods. Provide report # to support. Legally changes everything cuz now fraud dept gets involved not just tech support. Worked 3x faster for my customers vs regular queue

Dataminer here. 12,043 posts about account hacks across reddit/discord/twitter last month vs average 1,247 in 2024. Definitely coordinated attack not random. Pattern shows 93% targets = accounts 5+ years old with libraries $500+ value

Spent $2900 on Diablo 4 mtx (sad I know) - account gone overnight. Blizz response: "items purchased through mtx shop not guaranteed permanent access" WHAT?? only time i got anyone to care was chargebacks but then they perma-banned me so now double-screwed
