Looking for the best portable projector for iphone for upcoming camping trip

Need advice on mini projectors that work well with iPhone for an extended family camping trip next month. We're taking my elderly parents who aren't very mobile anymore, so evening entertainment at the campsite would be amazing. Hoping to project movies onto the side of our RV for everyone to enjoy under the stars. Main concerns are battery life (limited power at campsite), brightness (for twilight viewing), and obviously iPhone compatibility without a million adapters. Something lightweight that won't take up much space but still produces decent image. Anyone have real-world experience using these in outdoor settings?

Projector brightness measured in lumens is THE critical spec for outdoor use - ignore everything else. Need minimum 600 ANSI lumens (not those fake "lux" measurements) for twilight viewing. Below that = everyone squinting at dim image complaining entire time

iPhone compatibility isn't universal! newer iPhones need lightning-to-HDMI dongle ($40) unless projector specifically has AirPlay/wireless. And newest iPhones with USB-C need different adapter entirely. Check which ports YOUR projector has before buying

Retired couple here who does exactly this at our campsite regularly! Our solution: small projector + old white bedsheet + clothespins to attach to RV. Perfect makeshift screen that packs tiny. Way better than projecting directly onto beige/striped RV exterior

careful with battery estimates... they assume minimum brightness which is useless outdoors. Realistic math: take claimed runtime and divide by 2.5 for actual usable battery life when bright enough for outdoor viewing. Plan accordingly

COOLING FANS. Everyone overlooks this. Cheapo projectors have loud fans that drown out audio. Nothing ruins movie experience faster than constant WHIRRRRRR competing with dialogue. Check reviews specifically mentioning fan noise before purchasing
