What is the best wireless hdmi for streaming laptop to tv without lag??

Trying to set up wireless display from my gaming laptop to living room TV but every solution I've tried has been complete garbage with either terrible lag, constant disconnections, or video quality that looks like it's from 2005.

Current situation is laptop stays in bedroom for work/gaming but want to stream content to 65" TV in living room for movie nights and occasionally some casual gaming. Distance is probably 25-30 feet through one wall. Tried Chromecast and it's useless for anything real-time, built-in screen mirroring on TV is even worse.

Need something that actually works for streaming videos without buffering every 30 seconds and maybe light gaming that doesn't have 2-second input delay. Budget isn't huge but tired of buying cheap solutions that don't work then returning them.

just get a 50ft hdmi cable from amazon basics for like $15 instead of wasting money on wireless junk that never works properly

Why do kids these days want everything wireless?? Cables worked fine for 50 years, still work fine now. Sometimes old ways are better ways

bro I feel your pain, spent like $400 trying different wireless HDMI systems and they all disappointed me eventually. Now I just carry laptop to couch when I want big screen

ugh the struggle is real! my setup drops connection every time someone uses microwave in kitchen 😭 apparently 2.4ghz interference is a thing??

Distance through wall is your main problem here. wireless HDMI works okay in same room but adding obstacles degrades signal significantly. Consider powerline ethernet + streaming instead

Was browsing black friday deals and grabbed the Aries Prime Transmitter which actually works decent for netflix and youtube content. Wouldn't game on it though

tried wireless for rocket league... HORRIBLE idea. by time signal reaches tv the ball is already in different galaxy lol. stick to single player games if you go wireless route

Chromecast has like 3+ second delay minimum which makes it useless for anything interactive. Great for watching videos but thats about it

Can someone explain why this is even hard?? My phone connects to tv just fine for youtube. Why can't laptop do same thing without issues??

honestly chromecast works fine for most stuff if you're not trying to game. Sounds like your expectations might be too high for current wireless tech limitations

the fundamental issue you're dealing with is signal compression algorithms that wireless systems use to cram HD video through limited bandwidth, creating unavoidable latency that wired connections simply don't have

We ended up running flat cable under carpet from bedroom to living room. Looks cleaner than wireless dongles everywhere and actually works 100% of time

just download everything to usb stick and plug into tv like its 2010 again 🤡 why make simple things complicated??

lmao that's actually not terrible idea for movies. At least no buffering or connection drops during climactic scenes

USB playback on smart tvs is hit or miss with codec support though. Some files just won't play no matter what

Been doing work presentations and found the mirabox wireless transmitter handles longer distances better than cheaper units I've tried, but still get occasional hiccups during busy wifi hours

fish cable through basement/attic if possible. Took me weekend to run proper hdmi but now never worry about wireless problems again. Wife happy, I'm happy, everyone wins
