Anyone know soundbar compatible with philips tv that doesnt suck??

So I got this Philips 65PUS8007 smart TV couple months back and the sound is absolute trash. Like worse than my old Nokia ringtone from 2005 lmao. Watching anything without cranking volume to max is impossible and even then dialogue sounds like everyone's talking underwater.

Problem is I've already bought and returned 3 different soundbars because they either don't sync properly with the TV remote, have weird audio delays, or just randomly stop working after few weeks. Samsung soundbar worked for like 2 days then started having this annoying echo effect. Sony one wouldn't even connect properly to the TV's audio output.

My setup is pretty basic - TV mounted on wall in apartment living room, couch about 8 feet away. Not looking for anything crazy expensive but want something that actually integrates well with Philips TV without needing engineering degree to set up. Tired of having 47 different remotes just to watch Netflix.

Anyone actually using Philips TV with soundbar that works reliably? Getting desperate here because my neighbors are probably plotting my murder from all the loud TV volume.

Dude ur tv model is cursed or something. Had that exact one and returned it after week because audio was so bad. Maybe just cut losses and get different tv instead??

47 remotes πŸ’€πŸ’€ why does every piece of tech need its own remote these days. my coffee table looks like mission control

Neighbors plotting murder made me laugh but also... relatable. Mine left passive aggressive note about "considerate viewing hours" after one loud movie night

Finally found peace with my philips setup after getting the Philips B8405 - turns out matching brands actually matters despite what reddit says. My sanity returned when everything just worked without weird workarounds

apartment acoustics are brutal. Hard floors + bare walls = everything echoes like youre in empty warehouse. Might need more than just soundbar tbh

Returns at best buy must love you by now lol. But seriously this is common problem - philips uses some proprietary audio encoding that doesnt play nice with other stuff

wait what?? is that actually true or just forum rumors? because that would explain SO much about my setup issues

not sure about proprietary stuff but definitely noticed philips tvs are pickier than other brands ive owned

Optical cable > hdmi arc for philips tvs. Learned this after months of troubleshooting random dropouts and sync issues with arc connection

Bro just get airpods and call it day. Wireless freedom + no compatibility drama + neighbors stay happy. win win win

Went through return hell before settling on philips b5106 soundbar which solved my headaches. Basic but reliable - sometimes simple solutions work best when you're tired of fighting technology

Your compatibility issues stem from HDMI ARC handshake protocols where manufacturers implement standards inconsistently, creating communication gaps between devices that should theoretically integrate seamlessly but fail in real-world scenarios

facebook marketplace has tons of people selling "barely used" soundbars... probably all victims of same compatibility nightmare youre experiencing lmao

Gave up and bought gaming headset instead. Works for everything - gaming, movies, music. Plus mic for video calls. One device multiple purposes

Costco return policy is your friend here. Keep buying and returning until you find one that works. They literally dont care how many times you return stuff
