realme GT 3 - Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, up to 1TB of storage, 144Hz display, 50MP camera and 240W charging from $650
At Mobile World Congress, realme announced the realme GT 3 smartphone. As expected, it is the global version of the realme GT Neo 5 240W.
Here's What We Know
The realme GT 3 is equipped with last generation's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The chipset is complemented by 16GB of RAM in the top-end variant. UFS 3.0 storage capacity is up to 1TB.
The smartphone features a Full HD+ AMOLED display that supports HDR10+ and a frame rate of 144Hz, with a maximum brightness of 1400 nits. The typical brightness is 500 nits. The screen has a 6.74" diagonal, a built-in fingerprint scanner and a cutout for a 16MP selfie camera.
The main camera on the realme GT 3 has three modules: a 50MP main camera (f/1.9, 1/1.56", 1µm), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle (f/2.2, 112 degrees) and a 2MP microscope. The smartphone has OIS, PDAF and can shoot video in 4K UHD at 60 FPS.
The main feature of the novelty is 240W fast charging. While Xiaomi hasn't officially unveiled a smartphone with 300W of technology, this remains a record. The 4,600mAh battery charges to 50% in 4 minutes and to 100% in 10 minutes. According to the manufacturer, after 1600 charge cycles, the battery capacity will drop by 20%.
On the backside next to the camera is a backlight that shines red, purple, white and green depending on the battery level. The smartphone will also get stereo speakers, NFC and Android 13 with realme UI 4.0 shell.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The price of the realme GT 3 starts at $650 for the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone will go on sale in Booster Black and Pulse White colours in May or June depending on the country.
To recap, the Chinese version of the realme GT Neo 5 with 241W charging is available in 12/256GB and 16/1024GB variants at $470 and $515 respectively. Additionally, the smartphone is sold in a 150W charging configuration for $370-425.
